Common Problems (Version 4.0 only -- these problems will NOT occur with version 5.0)

If PageBreeze displays the error message "Component 'DHTMLED.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered," or if the Microsoft Office 2000 Installer appears when you start PageBreeze, please see the information below.

Component 'DHTMLED.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered

DHTMLED.OCX is a software component from Microsoft which is automatically installed as part of Internet Explorer 5.0 or later. For some reason, on a few systems, the component is not correctly registered when IE is installed. This is usually very easy to fix.

Windows XP, 2000, 98, etc.

If you get this message and you are running Windows XP or earlier please try the following (for Vista or Windows 7, see below:

1. From the Windows Start menu, choose Run.

2. Copy and paste the line below into the Run box (right click and use the paste command):

    regsvr32.exe "c:\program files\common files\microsoft shared\triedit\DHTMLED.OCX"

Please be sure to copy and paste the complete line above. If you type the line, please be sure to include all spaces and quotes.

3. Click OK.

Hopefully, you will see a message indicating that the component has been successfully regisered. You should then be able to run PageBreeze.

An alternate way of fixing this problem is to re-install Internet Explorer.

If you still have problems after completing these steps, please contact us at the above email address.

Windows Vista or Windows 7

Please re-install the Microsoft DHTML editing control. This is included with PageBreeze and can be found in the \Program Files\PageBreeze directory. Look for this file: Dhtmled.msi. Double click to install.

Alternatively, you can download this file directly from Microsoft's Website.

  5. Click the "+" to expand the Office Tools section.
  6. Click the icon next to HTML Source Editing to drop down the list of options.
